My journey with hair styling began in 1998 at a salon, where I worked and started forming my style and approach for 11 years. Following the salon, I freelanced for over a decade, meeting hundreds of people, connecting with their individual stories, and writing my own as a stylist. In 2023 I officially launched The Sanctuary Story, and since then it’s only been evolving. From providing education to being published, The Sanctuary Story has bloomed beautifully in just a couple short years. I am so grateful for each person I get to help feel authentic and empowered, for each story I get to be a part of, and for the ability to align my professional passions with my personal ethos. The Sanctuary Story is more than just a chair and styling tools, it is a cultivation of decades-long hard work, a manifestation of a creative vision, and a safe space for all hair, all bodies, and all people.
